Chocolate Toxicity

Sharing is caring, but sharing chocolate is ridiculous, and this especially applies to cats and dogs, who can not handle the theobromine (a compound found in chocolate). This Easter, keep your chocolate to yourself, but call us straight away if your dog ever ingests ANY chocolate!

Symptoms of chocolate ingestion include vomiting and diarrhoea, increased heart rate and seizures, so the sooner we can see your pet, the better chance we have of inducing vomiting before it is digested.
