The Team

Each member of the team at Burke Road Veterinary Clinic bring different skills and experience to the practice. We are all dedicated to our jobs and to your pets. Our skills are refreshed and increased through continuing education and training. This combination of maturity and up-to-date knowledge enables us to offer you the best possible veterinary services.

Dr Cathy Jennings is a Melbourne University Honours graduate in Veterinary Science and has worked in Melbourne, Benalla and the UK. Cathy lives in Hawthorn with her husband Bruce and two young sons. Cathy is a co-owner of Burke Road Vet Clinic.
Dr Tina Missen graduated in 1995 from Melbourne University. She has worked in private practices in NSW, VIC, WA, and the UK. Tina has a special interest in surgery and animal eye diseases (Ophthalmology). Tina is a keen snow skier and scuba diver. Tina is a co-owner of Burke Road Vet Clinic.

Dr Donna Pyke graduated in 1990 from Melbourne University. Since graduating she has worked both in Australia and the UK. Donna has undertaken further study in Emergency medicine, Surgery and Acupuncture. Donna brings to the clinic a wealth of knowledge and experience. She lives locally with her husband and  two children. Her leisure activities include bike riding and swimming. Donna is a co-owner of Burke Road Vet Clinic.

 

Lauren Wolsley is also a full–time veterinary nurse and is currently studying veterinary nursing at Box Hill TAFE. Lauren has worked at vet clinics in Vic, NSW, and USA. Lauren is a keen Ballroom and Latin dancer.

 

 

Julian Fry started with us as a volunteer a few  years ago and is now a qualified vet nurse. Julian holds a Certificate 4 in vet nursing as well as animal technology. Congratulations Julian on your recent graduation! He now works with us on a full- time basis. Julian has a passion for music. He sings and plays the guitar. Julian and his wife Katie are now proud parents of Emmy Beatrix.

Kate Perkins is our  practice manager and is a qualified veterinary nurse with over 8 years experience. Kate has been with us since 2005. Her experience in busy multi-vet clinics has been very valuable to our practice. She has introduced many beneficial changes to our practice, upgrading our sterile procedures, improving our written records for hospital care and anaesthesia. She has orchestrated equipment upgrades in areas of surgical instrumentation and animal care.
 

Penny Everson is a full-time veterinary nurse currently completing Certificate Four in Veterinary Nursing at Box Hill TAFE. Penny has a special interest in dog training. She has completed certificate four in dog behaviour and training. [National Dog Trainers’ Association] She was working previously at a busy companion animal and greyhound Veterinary practice in Melbourne. She enjoys reading, hiking and spending time with her dog “Jess”.


 

 

Dr Kim Riddle  is a graduate from Melbourne University. Kim works part- time at Burke Road  Vet Clinic. Kim enjoys working  with small animals.Kim has completed post graduate study in anaesthesia and has a special interest in wildlife care.
